What to eat on a long ride

Since I’m a real biker I figured I would post about what I eat and drink on a long ride. I don’t really ride that far in comparison to some professional bikers but when I do ride I like to not get hungry or be sick.

Here is my list of favorite foods/drinks in no particular order while biking:

  1. Bananas
  2. Water
  3. Plums
  4. Energy Bars
  5. Energy Gu’s
  6. Gatorade
  7. Fig newtons
  8. depending on the weather yogurt in a tube (it has to be cold)
  9. crackers
  10. PB&J’s

I like to eat a variation when I get back off after a ride.

Anyone have any favorite foods / drinks they like to use while riding? I’d like to see home made concoctions and dishes that are easy to eat on the go!
